I know what you’re thinking. Sugar Scrub? What’s sugar scrub?
No, it’s not edible. Well it might be, I dunno, I haven’t tried it. Let me know if you do, I guess. But it’s not for eating! It’s for your skin. No really! I was skeptical too.
But last May, we made Lavender Sugar Scrub in our local MOPS meeting, and my life will never be the same.
Okay, so maybe that’s a little dramatic, but still. I made some, I used it, and now I LOVE it! It makes your skin so freaking soft. And it’s so so easy to make, and customize! You should definitely try it!
It only takes 4 ingredients, plus a cute jar to keep it in! This recipe made enough for 3 small (4 oz) Mason Jars.
1/2 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup coconut oil
1 TBS Vanilla Extract
Just combine all of the ingredients in a bowl and spoon into your jars. That’s it! You can change up the scents with other extracts or essential oils…peppermint, orange, lavender, whatever you want!
And the best thing about this gift is that it comes with a BONUS gift! Vanilla Sugar Lip Scrub!
Every winter my lips get chapped. Like super dry, crusty, chapped.
I have fallen in love with this Candy Cane Chapstick, but sometimes it’s hard to find. I decided to give this lip scrub a try, and it is spectacular!
The ingredients are practically the same, so if you have to go out and buy coconut oil you might as well use it for more than one gift!
1/3 cup coconut oil
1/3 cup sugar
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
Mix together and add to your super cute containers or jars!
Package with twine and a simple label, and give it to your sweet friends or your kiddos’ teachers. 🙂
Give it a try and let us know how much you like it! And if you’re in love with that adorbs chalkboard in the background, check out this post right here!
